Ogden native breaks record at Park City Point 2 Point Race

PARK CITY, Utah — Zach Calton, 27, from Ogden, Utah, broke the course record at the annual Park City Point 2 Point Race held on Saturday, August 31. Calton crossed the finish line with a time of 5:55:03, setting a new benchmark for the challenging 75-mile mountain bike race.

Truman Glasgow, 24, from Orem, Utah, secured second place, while Stefano Barberi, 40, from Reno, Nevada, rounded out the podium in third.

This year’s result marked a dramatic reversal from last year’s race, where Glasgow claimed first place with a time of 6:09:22, narrowly edging out Calton by a second.

In the women’s division, local favorite Chelsea Bolton of Park City claimed victory with a time of 7:12:53, placing her 14th overall in the race. Caroline Tory from Colorado and Sarah Kauffman of Salt Lake City took second and third places respectively in the women’s category.

The Park City Point 2 Point Race, held annually on Labor Day Weekend, is renowned for its challenging course that showcases some of the best singletrack trails Park City has to offer.
