KAMAS, Utah – A man reported missing in Weber Canyon, was located by rescuers on Sept. 10, after a two-day search involving Summit County Search & Rescue, mounted teams, drones, and a helicopter.
Authorities first discovered his car at a family cabin, after the man’s relatives called the police to perform a welfare check. The man’s car had been at the family cabin in Weber Canyon since Thursday, Sept. 5.
But after an extensive air and ground search, he was spotted in Kamas while rescue personnel refueled. Sgt. Skyler Talbot confirmed the man, who is in his late twenties, is in good health, having apparently embarked on a lengthy hike. His identity has not been released.
