Utah ties for first in state job satisfaction ranking
New data reveals Utah and Kentucky as top states for job satisfaction, while Hawaii leads in worker discontent
UTAH — Utah workers are among the least likely in the U.S. to quit their jobs in 2024, according to a new study by AI productivity platform Plus Docs. The research shows that Utahns are 49% less likely to resign than workers in other states, making Utah one of the happiest places to work in the nation.
The study, which analyzed online search data for key resignation-related terms such as “how to quit my job” and “resignation letter template,” highlights a significant contrast between Utah and other states. Daniel Li, CEO and co-founder of Plus Docs, commented on the findings, stating, “This campaign highlights the states where this trend is most likely to be seen in the coming months.”
While Utah and Kentucky rank as the states with the happiest workers, Hawaii tops the list of states where employees are most likely to quit. Residents search for resignation-related terms 288 times per 100,000 people each month—79% above the national average.
