Skyfire lightning rainbows: A rock band or last night’s sunset?

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A second day of monsoonal weather brought storms with wind, rain, hail, and lightning to the Wasatch Back. While the moisture was welcome, the heavy rains and hail caused travel delays across the county due to roadway flooding. The storms broke just as sunset was approaching, allowing TownLift readers to capture some spectacular photos, shared below.

The National Weather Service says that drier air will make its way into Utah and southwest Wyoming today (Wednesday) through Friday. Scattered storms will develop over northeast Utah today, with a 30% chance of precipitation.
