Park City Mountain opens lottery for limited ski season parking permits

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Mountain is offering a chance for skiers and snowboarders to secure one of 83 remaining season parking permits for the upcoming 2024-25 winter season through a random lottery system.

The permits, priced at $799 each (up from last year’s $775 price tag), grant access to the resort’s garage parking for the entire season. Interested parties can enter the lottery until 4 p.m. MT on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Permit holders must make reservations before 1 p.m. on any day they plan to use the parking facility.

What’s to expect for the 2024-25 ski season

For the broader public, the resort’s parking system will largely mirror the previous season’s setup. The Mountain Village base area will continue to operate under a reservation system, incorporating paid and free parking options, as well as incentives for carpooling and public transit use.

Reservations at Mountain Village will be required seven days a week until 1 p.m. from Dec. 5 to April 1. While reservations between Dec. 5-12 are free, paid reservations will be necessary from Dec. 13 onward.

Daily parking fees are set at $28 per vehicle for surface lots and $46 plus service fees for the Mountain Village garage.

Where to access free parking

At the Canyons Village base area, the Cabriolet lot will offer free parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Paid options are available in the Upper Village and Pendry lots, also on a first-come, first-served basis.

Free parking alternatives include Park City High School on weekends and holidays, and High Valley Transit Park-n-Ride locations such as Richardson Flat and Ecker Hill.
