Open house on Aug. 13 to discuss "Ski Rail" project consisting of 200-bed development
PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort is holding an open house to discuss their “Ski Rail” project, a workforce housing project with at least 200 beds. The development would sync with the resort’s effort to build out the land surrounding Snow Park, while conveniently housing its workforce close to transit services.

Deer Valley currently owns the land that would be used for the project and City Council requires workforce housing as part of a project of this scope. During the winter season, Deer Valley employs close to 3,000 people and that number is expected to rise with their expansion project.
The resort is also expanding off U.S. 40, in Wasatch County, with the Deer Valley East Village. The East Village, situated at the base of the expansion, will feature 16 new chairlifts, including a ten-passenger gondola, providing ski access across four new peaks.
