Palomino obtains new bar license

Palomino’s newly obtained bar license gives guests the opportunity to just grab drinks at the 'spirited clubhouse'

PARK CITY, Utah — Palomino is inviting Parkites for drinks- food optional- after the acquisition of its new bar license last month.

Palomino, located at 540 Main Street in Park City, is the newest venture of the Riverhorse collection. The two establishments are connected by the Riverhorse downstairs coat check, which leads to the entrance of Palomino.

Palomino was one of the two ready-to-operate bars in Summit County that were granted licenses at the June 27 meeting of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services’ (DABS) liquor commission, alongside the Manor F&B resort in Coalville.

Palomino was granted a bar license, and the Manor F&B resort was granted a bar “equity” license as a members-only establishment. Both licenses went into effect late last month.

Under Utah State Law, food must be ordered alongside alcoholic beverages at any restaurant operating with a liquor license. However, under a bar license, patrons can skip the meal and just order drinks.

Palomino offers an extensive beer, wine, and spirits lists, as well as seasonal house cocktails, including the Watermelon Margarita (Cazadores Reposado), The Gold Digger (Casamigos Mezcal), Lodge No. 7 (High West Bourbon), The Seamstress (Alpine Gin), and The Parlor (Monkey 47 Gin, Wild Roots Huckleberry Vodka) and a menu of Espresso Martinis.

Although no longer necessary to order, the bar also offers seasonal small bites and plates to share. Visit palominoparkcity.com for more information.
