UPDATE (7/25): Fire investigators determined the Dicker Hill fire, burning east of Coalville near Echo Reservoir, to be human-caused Thursday. No other details about how the fire started were immediately available.

The fire, which started on Pioneer Day, quickly grew from 10 to 200 acres within hours, which fire officials said is typical of grass fires. After the first night, the Dicker Hill fire was 0% contained, but crews have been working hard and now report the fire is 55% contained.

The fire covers 361 acres. The increase is due to more accurate mapping. 114 personnel, along with four helicopters, ten hand crews, three bulldozers, and ten fire engines, are assigned to the fire.

Weather has also helped crews contain the fire after rain Wednesday night. Friday, crews will continue to secure the fire perimeter. A final report is expected to have more details about the cause.
