Call for Artists: First annual Wasatch Back Art Festival

HEBER CITY, Utah — Johnny and Sherry Adolphson are tackling a new endeavor. In addition to their fine art photography business, they have secured a new venue in Heber City for the first annual Wasatch Back Art Festival. The two-day festival will take place at Heber’s Main Street Park, 250 South Main Street, on July 26 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and July 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Goal of the Festival

Their goal is to create new opportunities for local artists to present their original artwork to a new audience. They wish to build a fine art reputation. All work must be the artist’s original creation and the artists must remain at their booths. Booth sitters will be available for short breaks. They are accepting applications until July 4.

How to Apply

Read the terms and conditions before applying. Send your artist biography, a booth shot, and three images of your art along with the requested booth type to info@WasatchBackArtFestival.com. Artists can choose a 10’ by 10’ or a 10’ by 20’ booth. Booths cost $125 and $250, respectively, and can be shared. The maximum number of artists per booth is two artists. By applying, you agree to support and adhere to all festival rules and regulations.

Acceptance and Payment

After submitting an application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. Once reviewed, acceptance notifications will be sent by email. Acceptance is not guaranteed. All artists need to accept their invitation and remit the booth fee. Artists need to provide their own booths, insurance, and sales methods and file their own sales taxes through the Utah Tax Commission. The Adolphsons are working on overnight security or surveillance and are planning to make it available.
