SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County Dispatch alerted Wasatch Search and Rescue to two stranded ATV riders in the Soapstone Basin area of the high Uintas on Tuesday, May 28.
“Both riders had spent a very cold night stuck in the snow,” a Facebook post made by Wasatch County Search and Rescue posted June 1 said.
After hiking some distance to get a cell phone signal, the party was able to call 911. Search and Rescue teams were able to locate the couple and evacuate them off the mountain.
