Trader Joe’s to open new store in Salt Lake City’s Sugar House neighborhood

This will be the closest Trader Joe's to Park City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Trader Joe’s, the specialty grocery chain, is making its way to Salt Lake City’s Sugar House neighborhood.

A new grocery store will open sometime this year at 2160 S. 700 East. The opening will bring Trader Joe’s total number of Utah locations to five, and mark the closest store to Park City thus far.

The new location will be on the same block as Dee’s restaurant and will occupy the previous space of a Pep Boys auto parts store.

“We’ve consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Salt Lake City,” Trader Joe’s announced Friday on its website. No opening date has been announced.

Other Trader Joe’s locations in Utah are on 400 South in Salt Lake City and in Cottonwood Heights, Draper and Orem.
