County to host platform for public opinion with Ure Ranch open house
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — In an effort to shape the future of the Kamas Valley, Summit County is hosting a community open house to discuss the potential uses for the Ure Ranch property.
This event will take place Jan. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Kamas Service Building, located at 110 N Main St. in Kamas.
In March 2023, Summit County struck an option agreement with the Ure family for the acquisition of their approximately 834-acre farm. This move marked a significant step in the county’s efforts to preserve and effectively utilize the expansive land in the Kamas Valley.
The upcoming open house serves as a platform for community members to learn about, discuss, and contribute ideas for the future utilization of this significant parcel of land.
The event will offer childcare services and a light dinner.
