SNAPPED: 40th Sundance Film Festival begins with ‘Sundance Scoop’

PARK CITY, Utah — The 2024 Sundance Film Festival kicked off today with the Sundance Scoop at the Filmmaker Lodge on Main Street in Park City.
The conversation featured Joana Vicente, Sundance Institute CEO, Eugene Hernandez, Sundance Film Festival director and head of public programming, and Kim Yutani, Sundance Film Festival director of programming. Jason Blum, CEO and founder of Blumhouse, served as the moderator.
The first screening of the 4oth iteration of the Sundance Film Festival took place at noon today. The festival will run through Jan. 28 with in-person screenings in Park City and Salt Lake City.
