Wreath laying ceremony honoring veterans slated for Dec. 16

PARK CITY, Utah — On Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Park City Cemetery, 164 wreaths will be placed on veterans’ graves for the Wreaths Across America project.

A short ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., with Russell Ferrick giving a short presentation and Coen Nelson (age 14) playing Taps on the trumpet, followed by the laying of the wreaths.

Wreaths Across America’s mission is to “Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation. All are welcome to attend.”

This year, 197 wreaths have been sponsored, which has exceeded the goal by 20% (33 wreaths above asking). To sponsor a wreath or volunteer, visit the website.
