Sail Park City hosts North American Championships on Jordanelle
JORDANELLE RESERVOIR STATE PARK, Utah — On Saturday and Sunday, Sail Park City hosted the RS Tera North American Championships on the Jordanelle Reservoir.
All-important conditions were favorable for the youth competitors who had gathered from far and wide to enjoy some fun in the sun, Park City style.
“The RS Tera North American Championship regatta was a tremendous success,” Scott VerMerris, executive director of Sail Park City told TownLift. “We saw 21 boats and sailors from Park City, Salt Lake, California, Arizona, and Colorado. Congratulations to Henry Richter for winning the Sport class and Kiera Faye for winning the Pro class.”
Co-Ed Comp Results:
- RS Tera Pro

Not all venues of the sport have spectating areas that lend themselves to parents watching, however, Jordanelle is known throughout the sailing competitive community as the place to be for those on the beach.
Sail Park City’s next home race is the Fall Regatta, and for some Sail Park City’s athletes, including Toby Bookman and Hudson Underhill, their next away race is for a high school regatta in California before the season ends in the coming weeks.
