Powder Mountain unveils fresh faces on its leadership team
UTAH — Powder Mountain announced two new additions to its leadership team. Katie Van Riper joins as the Director of Marketing, bringing over 15 years of experience in ski resorts, snowsports brands, and real estate/hospitality portfolios to global prominence. Justin Soine takes on the Director of Sports and Recreation role, leveraging his nearly 20-year career in ski school management to enhance the resort’s offerings.
“Both Soine and Van Riper come to Powder with deep industry knowledge and a wealth of experience to draw from, said Kevin Mitchell, general manager, in a press release. “Katie’s trailblazing marketing experience and Justin’s illustrious career in ski school management perfectly align with our mission to provide extraordinary mountain experiences. Their contributions will help shape the next chapter of Powder Mountain.”
Van Riper’s experience includes contributing to the success stories of renowned brands such as Snowbird, Helly Hansen, Boyne Resorts, and Elevate Outdoor Collective. Her leadership played an instrumental role in developing the Ski City brand during her five years at Visit Salt Lake. With a passion for the mountains, Van Riper is well-equipped to oversee and elevate Powder Mountain’s marketing and communications efforts.
Soine brings a wealth of experience from his previous ski school general manager role at Park City Mountain Resort. With a genuine love for the snow and years of teaching expertise, Soine is set to revolutionize Powder Mountain’s ski school, training programs, adventure center, and recreational activities.
