Park Silly Sunday Market returns for September

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park Silly Sunday Market (PSSM) will return to Main Street on September 3 after a nearly six-week-long hiatus.

Per the open-air market’s 2023 agreement with Park City, the PSSM will be held on Main Street 11 Sundays this year rather than the 14 Sunday season that it has enjoyed in the past.

Visitors have four more Sundays to visit the market in 2023, September 3, 10 , 17 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On the main stage, Park City Rotary will sell balls for its annual Running of the Balls from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Running of the Balls will take place on Miners Day, Monday, September 4.

Mel Soul & the Heartbeat will take the stage from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m., followed by Plan B from 3-5 p.m.

Strolling performers and youth musicians for the September 3 market include:

  • Balloon Man Shan: balloon tying
  • Lauren Smith: violin
  • Allison Smith – cello
  • Truman Smith: violin
  • Robert Means: violin
  • Cole Means: piano
  • Finley Means: violin
  • Felicia McFall: accordion
The future of the PSSM has been the subject of recent Park City Council discussions, and the market has yet to reach an agreement with the city for a 2024 season.
