New Utah wine club to donate portion of Utah wine sales to Nuzzles & Co.

PARK CITY, Utah — Chester Wine Collection by Russian River Vineyards from Sonoma, CA, has established a distinctive partnership driven by a mutual passion for animals.

As an act of generosity, Chester Wine will dedicate a portion of its Utah sales to support the work of Nuzzles & Co.

The Chester wine collection pays tribute to the winery’s beloved rescue dog, Chester. Known for warmly greeting guests and accompanying them on tours and tastings, Chester has become an unforgettable presence at the winery.

To celebrate and honor this partnership, Chester wines will be served exclusively at Nuzzles’ highly anticipated annual “Love from the Mountaintops” gala on August 12, 2023, held at the Pendry Park City in Canyons Village.

Tickets for the event are still available for purchase.

“We are so pleased that Russian River Vineyards chose to partner with Nuzzles & Co. Given both organizations’ deep commitment to saving animals, it’s a match made in doggie heaven,” Tamra Gray, board chair of Nuzzles and Co., said in a press release. “And we are thrilled that by drinking amazing, unique wines, Utahns can contribute to the critical services we provide to animals to enrich their lives, just like Chester.”

The Chester Utah Wine Club is now available to Utah residents through Vin 7000, a boutique wine brokerage that facilitated this partnership. Chester wines, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sparkling, and Red Blend, are available in Utah. Vin 7000 introduced its seventh club exclusively for Utah residents, and the first shipments are scheduled to be sent out in September.

“Given that Chester is a lifestyle wine brand that embodies the essence of adventurous people and dogs who take advantage of all that life has to offer, it made perfect sense for us to establish this philanthropic partnership and help support the admirable work that Nuzzles & Co. does for vulnerable animals in Utah,” Mike Mekjian, partner of Russian River Vineyards and part-time Park City resident, said in a press release. “Chester was exactly the type of dog that Nuzzles rescues. He came from the streets of Baltimore City and went on to become symbolic of our winery with his distinctive, different-colored eyes and highly social, fun-loving spirit. He just needed a second chance at life, like what Nuzzles has provided for thousands of pets.”
