New no parking rule near intersection of Guardsman Pass Road and Pine Canyon Drive

PARK CITY, Utah — Parking will no longer be allowed at the Bonanza Flat Conservation Area along the roadway by the “Y” intersection of Guardsman Pass Road and Pine Canyon Drive, starting today.

According to a statement from Park City Municipal, this area was not designed as a parking area, and lacks the necessary facilities to serve trail users. The new no parking rule will be enforced.

“These changes are part of Utah Open Lands’ 5-year management strategy, which seeks to reduce waste accumulation, impact on the land, and ensure the long-term sustainability of this natural area,” said a statement from Park City Municipal.

Park City Municipal has recommended that recreators instead utilize the Transit to Trails program, or designated trailhead parking lots along Guardsman Pass Road. View parking lot cameras here to check trail traffic before you go.
