Celebrate Military Appreciation Day at Utah State Parks
UTAH — Mark your calendars for Military Appreciation Day, Saturday, August 12, 2023.
On this special day, most Utah state parks, aside from This Is The Place Heritage Park, will offer free day-use entrance to active military, veterans and their families (in the same vehicle).
“We owe a lot to these individuals, and it is important to recognize their service,” Jeff Rasmussen, director of Utah State Parks, said on the Utah DNR website. “Setting aside this day to honor those currently serving and those who have previously served is something Utah State Parks is both happy and proud to do. Their sacrifices have given us the freedoms and safety that we enjoy.”
Explore the parks in your local community or venture out to a new one for extra adventure and fun. Utah has a variety of unique state parks, providing countless opportunities for exploration. Don’t miss out on this amazing chance to enjoy nature and show appreciation to our military heroes.
