Park City Fire District rescues injured bikers, stranded dog

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Fire District (PCFD) responded to multiple bike accidents on July 22 in Deer Valley.

According to a statement from the PCFD, one individual was transported by University of Utah Health AirMed, and several others were transported by ambulance to the hospital. PCFD firefighters and medics worked with the Deer Valley Bike Patrol to provide care for the patients.

“Thanks to the Deer Valley bike patrol for their quick and professional response,” said PCFD Battalion Chief Sean Briley. “Please use caution while enjoying the downhill mountain bike trails.”

On Firday, July 21 at 7:30 p.m., PCFD firefighters responded to North Sagebrook Drive and Silver Summit Parkway to rescue a dog that had become stranded in a culvert. Firefighters removed the crate and coaxed the dog, named Taz, to the opening to safely lift him out.
