2023 Women’s Giving Grant finalists announced
PARK CITY, Utah— The Park City Community Foundation has unveiled the three finalists for its highly anticipated annual Women’s Giving Fund Grant.
The finalists for the 2023 grant are PC Tots, SOS Outreach, and Summit Community Gardens + EATS.
Members can cast their votes for the winner, who will be awarded $100,000 on July 12, an increase of $55,000 from last year’s award, due to an increase in memberships. The two runners-up will also receive smaller amounts.
“Our committee has gone through an extensive process to select the three finalists this year from many applicants” said Dalia Gonzalez, chair of the Women’s Giving Fund Steering Committee. “Voting for our annual grantee is an amazing perk of being a Women’s Giving Fund member. We get to learn about the most important issues affecting local women and children, and direct significant funding to these amazing organizations. I hope all my fellow members will join me in voting this year. Because of all our members, these grants make possible so many urgently needed services in Summit County.”
The 2023 grant finalists have submitted proposals aimed at creating significant positive impacts on women and children:
- SOS Outreach will expand its programs for 500+ youth to develop skills, grow their sense of belonging, and practice leadership and career development using skiing and snowboarding as the classroom.
- PC Tots will provide kindergarten readiness skills, improved culture for childcare workers, and community vibrancy through critically-needed tuition assistance for families and wage increases for staff.
- Summit Community Garden and EATS will create a Food Farmacy that provides fresh, local produce for women+ facing food hardship to meet basic needs and provide long-term solutions for good health.
Park City Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Fund has significantly impacted the lives of women+ and children in Park City and Summit County since its establishment in 2014. Boasting a strong membership of nearly 2,100 local women, girls, and those who identify as women, this powerful group convenes regularly at various gatherings. Together, they have awarded a remarkable $283,000 in grants to create positive change within the community.
