Two teens hoisted off of mountain in Provo Canyon after falling several feet

PROVO, Utah — Two 16-year-olds were hoisted by helicopter off of a mountain in Provo Canyon Saturday after falling several feet.

According to a statement from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, two teens, a boy and a girl, were at Lost Creek Falls near Bridal Veil Falls when the accident occurred.

The boy fell approximately 15-20 feet and sustained non-life threatening neck and back injuries, while the girl fell approximately five to six feet and sustained cuts to her feet.

Both teens were hoisted off of the mountain by LifeFlight and Utah Department of Public Safety helicopters, and the boy was then transported to Timpanogos Regional Hospital for further medical care.
