Register for Park City Ski and Snowboard’s July 4 Fun Run

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Ski and Snowboard’s (PCSS) annual Fourth of July Fun Run 5K is once again underway.

The race has a wonderful history going back to the early 80s in support of youth athletes.

“Historic Park City is a great place to kick off the 4th of July!” wrote Jana Dalton, development director for PCSS.

Race registration is $30 for kids ages 11 and under, and $50 for adults. Registration will close on July 3 at 5 p.m., and there will be no day-of registration.

Race numbers and T-shirts for registered runners can be picked up at Cole Sport on Park Avenue beginning Friday June 30 through Monday July 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Race morning pickup will be from 6:30-7:30 a.m on July 4 at Cole Sport (1615 Park Avenue, Park City).

The course is an out-and-back starting at the base of Park City Mountain, running on Thaynes Canyon Drive Past Rotary Park, to the White Barn Trailhead, then a return retracing your steps.

Be sure to register early as the race caps out at 1,000 runners. And, don’t miss out on a T-shirt.

All proceeds benefit PCSS, a club that provides world-class training and instruction that starts with the youth.

“Help support our Olympic hopefuls!” said Adam Loomis, PCSS coach.
