Kimball Art Center’s newest exhibition, Between Life and Land, opens Friday
PARK CITY, Utah — Introducing Between Life and Land at the Kimball Art Center (KAC), a three-part exhibition series taking place over the course of the coming calendar year, examining our relationship to the land through the lens of more than 30 artists.
Join KAC Friday, December 9, for the opening of the first in the series, Between Life and Land: Material. The first installation in the series introduces artists who create work with earthen forms and materials. From the detail captured in David Brooks’ cast aluminum forests to the variation of soils on view in Mary Mattingly’s Ecotopian Library, this work shows the undeniable beauty in landscapes both near and far while also exploring our connections to place, time, and the larger cosmos.
Join on Friday, December 9, for the opening from 6-8 p.m. for the new exhibit, light refreshments, cash bar, and live music.
Participating artists: Collin Bradford, David Brooks, Nancy Holt, Patrick Dean Hubbell, Sara Lynne Lindsay, Stefan Lesueur, Colour Maisch, Mary Mattingly, Robert Smithson, and Rodrigo Valenzuela.
