Dolly’s Bookstore hosting ‘The Sacred Web Tarot’ authors
PARK CITY, Utah – Coming to Dolly’s Bookstore on November 21, mother and son, Jannie Bui Brown and James Brown IV from “The Sacred Web Tarot” are hosting an exclusive meet-and-greet and signing.
Written by Jannie Bui Brown and digitally illustrated by James Brown IV, “The Sacred Web Tarot” is an inclusively holistic experience. The mother and son developed “The Sacred Web” as a multi-spiritual, transforming tool for self-reflection and insight that subverts the tarot canon to challenge the gender binary and enrich the spiritual experience for personal growth and transformation. They were inspired by the mythology surrounding traditional tarot.
“The Sacred Web Tarot” was born from pain, in the wake of a traumatic brain injury sustained by James. During his recovery, James began to draw images that his mother, Jannie, realized were the beginnings of something transformational, and the images could be utilized as a meditative tool.
Jannie believed that the images had the potential to introduce a whole new audience into the world of tarot – an audience that perhaps, previously, felt like tarot just wasn’t for “them.”
Some unique aspects of the tarot include renamed and redesigned cards that exclude any notion of gender or age, cards associated with the energy of mudras, numerology; astrology guidance, gemstones; crystals, yoga and the chakras. “The Sacred Web Tarot” guidebook moves away from traditional, gendered imagery, card names, and interpretations, and provides a unique opportunity to experience the transformative power of tarot.
“The Sacred Web Tarot” goes on sale on November 8, and on November 21 you can meet the team for an exclusive signing and meet and greet. Every purchase of “The Sacred Web Tarot” will come with a complimentary “quick read” tarot reading by the author.
