Celebrate Halloween on Historic Main Street in Boo-tiful Park City
PARK CITY, Utah — On Monday, October 31st, the Historic Park City will once again host what has been called by Travel and Leisure Magazine, one of the top Halloween celebrations in the country.
When you combine two and four-legged costumed creatures with gourmet treats and maybe a few tricks you have a one-of-a-kind celebration.
Main Street will be closed to all cars and candy will be handed out in the doorways by shop owners/keepers at each retail location. Park City Fire District and Park City Police Department employees will also be on site to greet trick-or-treaters and support the community.
Entrance is free and no reservations/tickets are necessary.
Schedule of Events
- 3:00-5:00 p.m. Trick-or-Treating: Little ghosts and goblins are invited to Main Street for fun and safe Trick-or-Treating, compliments of participating merchants. Dogs must be on a leash.
Getting to Main Street & Parking
Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 2 p.m. Swede Alley will be on-way to vehicles (North-bound travel only).
The Historic Park City Alliance and Park City Municipal Corporation strongly encourage attendees to walk, bike, carpool, or use Park City Transit.
Free Parking:
- Ecker Hill Park-and Ride
- Sandridge Lots: access via Marsac Avenue, Expected to fill quickly
- Park City High School: Free parking after 3:30 p.m.
- Park City Mountain Resort, Canyons Village and Deer Valley Resort
Paid Parking:
- China Bridge: $15/vehicle from 2-6pm with entry from Marsac Avenue only
- Private Park Lots: available throughout Old Town with varying regulations, pay instructions and costs
Many locals express that this is the one time every year that they get to catch up with their friends simply by running into them on Main Street on Halloween, even if it means pulling up a mask to be recognizable.
