Summit County Animal Shelter kicks off first-ever Adopt-A-Thon September 17
WANSHIP, Utah — Summit County Animal Control (SCAC) hosts its first annual Adopt-A-Thon this Saturday, September 17, alongside Nuzzles & Co. Pet Rescue and Adoption. From 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Summit County Animal Shelter will feature adoptable animals. Guests can tour the facilities and learn how SCAC and Nuzzles support one another in providing homes for pets.
“Summit County Animal Control has a beautiful shelter,” said Nuzzles & Co. Executive Director Lindsay Ortega. “We want the community to know that they can go to the Summit County Animal Shelter to adopt pets as well. They’re all vaccinated, and they receive vouchers for the spay and neuter services. We’re going to be taking some animals over there and feature the animals with SCAS to try and find them homes. [We want to] make sure the community knows that there are healthy adoptable animals at Animal Control in Summit County.”
The pets pictured above are not guaranteed to be at the adoption event.
The event will take place at the Summit County Animal Control location 1745 S Hoytsville Rd., Wanship, UT.
“This is an awesome opportunity for animal lovers to see what furry friends are available for adoption at two reputable animal adoption centers in the Summit County area,” said Bailey Edelstein with Summit County. “This is hopefully one of many Adopt-A-Thons we hope to host with amazing community partners like Nuzzles & Co.”
If you are unable to attend but want to be kept up-to-date on adoptable pets and ways to help, then follow Summit County Animal Control – Utah on Facebook and Nuzzles & Co. across their social media channels.
