Homestake development project for discussion at September 28 Park City Planning Commission meeting
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Planning Commission is meeting on September 28 at 5:50 p.m. in-person and virtually to discuss amendments to several plots within the City and the development of affordable housing units at 1875 Homestake Road. You can attend the meeting at the Marsac Municipal Building or online here.
TownLift reported on the Homestake development plans in July, 2022. You can read about the background of the development, including comments from lead developer Rory Murphy here.
The biggest item for discussion is the application for construction of more than 200,000 square feet of housing at 1875 Homestake Road. The construction would include 123 housing units with amenity space and parking space. 80% of the proposed units are proposed to be affordable housing, while 20% will be market rate.
The staff report for 1875 Homestake Road outlines how the proposed construction will make use of the triangular shape of the lot, a parking management plan for the possible future residents, and mock-up images of what the buildings may look like when constructed. Because of the size of the proposed development, the agenda for the meeting has 60 minutes set apart for discussion and approval.
In addition to the 1875 Homestake Road development, the Park City Planning Commission will also be discussing amendments to the 569 Park Avenue, 220 King Road, and 1201 Stonebridge Circle plats.
