Local Business Spotlight: Alpine Distilling

PARK CITY, Utah. — In 2016, Rob and Sara Sergent launched Alpine Distilling with the ambition to promote American distilling in combination with supreme ingredients, techniques, and practices. Alpine Distilling’s founding philosophy is “To bring curated spirits that echo the passion of our mountain community to discerning palettes around the world.”

The distillery in Silver Summit is the creation location for Alpine Distillings’ renowned libations. The Main Street-based Alpine Pie Bar opened in 2019 and serves signature cocktails with fresh pies and tarts.

Within a few short years, Alpine Distilling is gaining international recognition.

“Rob makes the whiskey, and I make the gin,” she said, “our Alpine Gin won Gin of the Year in London.”

Additional accolades include two notable wins at the 2022 TAG Global Spirit Awards: Platinum for the Utah Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Best in Show for the Park City Gin.

“We have lived in Park City for over 12 years, and we enjoy creating locally distilled, award-winning international spirits, which creates local jobs and allow us to give back to our community,” Sara states.

Sara and Rob prefer to enjoy their libations in an Alpine Pie Bar signature cocktail. “We love our Park City Negroni, Gin Bramble, or Old Fashioned served with a warm slice of pie or a chilled tart.”
