Solomon Fund cheering on Latinx children in Park City
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Community Foundation (PCCF) announced on Wednesday the 21 Park City entities that are the 2022 Solomon Fund grantees.
There will be $175,000 apportioned among the 21 programs which provide scholarships and increase participation for Latinx children. The Solomon Fund works closely with the Park City School District and is a partner of the PCCF.
Beano Solomon, the fund’s founder, told me, “My ultimate goal, via these somewhat structured activity options, is to effectuate having all the children in the community, in an unstructured way, sitting together at the school lunchroom tables, playing with one another after school, and simply hanging out on the weekends. I’m proud that, with the help of the Park City Community Foundation and especially Diego Zegarra, the Solomon Fund continues to move the mission in the right direction.”
