TRON Auto Lab’s new Park City location offers a one-stop-shop for car customization

PARK CITY, Utah — When customers walk into the TRON Auto Lab off W Lori Lane in Park City, they’re stepping into a one-stop-shop, do it all automotive customization lab that’s looking to offer a full range of leading products and services to customize, protect and upgrade any ride that rolls into their bay.

Offering a wide range of services, TRON Auto Lab provides everything from ceramic coatings, mobile detailing, paint correction, paint protection film, performance, suspension, vinyl wrap, window tint, tires and wheels. In addition to their products, they also are easy to work with, offer affordable pricing and clear times in order to get customers back in the driver seat.

Opening the shop back in December of 2021, the Auto Lab has a new set of employees, including general manager Steven Shattuck, who joined the company last fall.

While this is Shattuck’s first job with TRON, it is not his first in the industry as he possesses an impressive amount of knowledge and eight years of experience. Beginning back in 2014, Shattuck started his own small detailing business in Arizona, working on everything from minivans to exotic cars. After selling that business, Shattuck made his way to Los Angeles and began working on classic and older vehicles, specifically older BMW’s and other German cars.

Over the years, Shattuck has also been able to learn from top individuals in the industry, training in San Diego and Huntington Beach, where he became certified in window tint installation, paint protection and ceramic coating.

“Throughout the years I’ve been making connections with some of the top names in the industry and learning how to buff out paint or do some of the top paint corrections, and so making sure, especially classic cars or cars of high value, you want to make sure they’re looking their best and maybe win some awards. So that’s what I’ve done over the years. Most of it’s just been just chasing passion, chasing a love for being around that community, spending time with people that have these cars. It’s just so fun for me, so years and years of doing that and getting my hands dirty and eventually, yeah, the opportunity came to work and open the shop out here in Park City so I jumped on that,” Shattuck explained.

Being brand new to the area, TRON is not only looking to separate themselves with their wide range of service, but according to Shattuck, a high level of quality, passion and excellent communication.

“Yeah, we know there’s a few other shops around here in Park City. There are a couple small outfits, but the big difference with us and the others is just the time, the quality and the passion that we have for it. I’ve done this for eight years, wrapping and detailing, and I’m really passionate about it. I treat every car like it’s my own. And I really want to make sure that everybody’s super happy with what they have. So I would definitely say the passion and the ability to take on appointments if you call us. You don’t have to wait a month. We can get you in probably the next day or maybe end of the week,” Shattuck said.

“The best thing about us is when you call we’ll answer. When you send a text message, we’ll reply and get right back to you. And I know that’s really hard because with everything in Park City, it’s pretty rare to have somebody answer the phone when you call for a service based thing because everybody’s so busy and booked out but we have the the staff behind it that we can make sure that we are taking care of you in a timely manner,” Shattuck continued.

As the TRON Auto Lab now welcomes customers inside their doors for just about any customization job under the sun, Shattuck and the rest of the crew are busy preparing for summer preparations to ensure people are getting the most out of their vehicles.

“So the main ones right now as we’re coming into spring would be window tint. People are thinking about keeping their cars cool in the summertime and then paint protection films. Getting protection films will get you much more durability and life out of the paint of the vehicle. Vehicle wraps are also pretty common for those that, again, in this day and age you buy a car but maybe you can’t get in the car that you wanted. Wraps come in handy there so we can change the color of it and make it any color that you’d like. And then you know just spring cleaning, doing just basic details. Those are pretty common right now as well.”
