Park City Marketing Club sparks connection for local pros and businesses

PARK CITY, Utah – Content strategist, coach, and founder of Park City Marketing Club (PCMC), Cat Johnson, is on a mission to help Park City marketing pros and local businesses learn, share, and connect.

First and foremost, Johnson views the PCMC as a community. Johnson, a longtime community builder and leader in the global coworking movement, understands the power of informal-yet-consistent professional communities.

“Park City is a world-class destination, a truly unique small town, and a hotbed of entrepreneurship,” said Johnson. “My vision for the Park City Marketing Club is to bring this all together to create a community of support and connection for our local businesses, marketing professionals, and entrepreneurs.”

Partnering with local coworking space Kiln Park City, where Johnson is a member, provides the space and home base for the PCMC. She views coworking as more than just remote workers finding a place to hunker down and work peacefully. Places like Kiln offer collaborative, productive environments where people connect, brainstorm, develop, and succeed.

“Kiln is absolutely amazing,” said Johnson. “I’ve been a member of a number of coworking spaces over the years, and Kiln is head and shoulders above anything else I’ve seen. They simply get what professionals need to not only be productive and successful but to be welcomed into an amazing workplace and brand community that extends far beyond the walls of the space.” She adds, “I’m beyond stoked to partner with Kiln.”

Johnson’s goal for PCMC is to create a similar atmosphere for its members to unite and flourish, but it is also a way for busy professionals to find more purpose and belonging.

“People are desperate for connection and a sense of belonging,” says Johnson. “On the heels of a pandemic, rising social isolation and sharp increases in anxiety and depression, I want to give people a way to dial back loneliness and find ways to learn, share and connect together.”

The next PCMC event is an informal conversation on Instagram Marketing. The event takes place at Kiln Park City on Monday, March 28 at 4 p.m. Park City Marketing Club is free and open to all. RSVP: https://lu.ma/w9dm6ffd
