Park City hotel occupancy expected to decline in the coming weeks

PARK CITY, Utah — Shoulder season is on the horizon. According to lodging data published by the Park City Chamber of Commerce, hotel occupancy in Park City is slowly declining as the winter season nears its end.

In mid-March, hotels were reporting occupancy rates above 80%. Come the middle of April, and occupancy levels are expected to hover around 10%.

The Chamber survey looks at 18 properties representing a range of traditional hotels and short-term rentals.

Both Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort have set the closing date of April 17.
