Lindsey Vonn Foundation brings Fellas and Flappers Gala to Park City

PARK CITY, Utah – Lindsey Vonn and the Lindsey Vonn Foundation (LVF) announced that they are bringing its marquee LVF event to Park City. The annual fundraiser will take place on May 20 as a 1920s themed Gala at Goldener Hirsch. Funds raised will help fund the foundation’s #STRONGgirls summer camps for underserved girls.

The Lindsey Vonn Foundation offers transformational programming and scholarships that fill the gaps for underserved girls. The Foundation is committed to providing engagement opportunities with a positive and constructive atmosphere. Its focus is to help the next generation grow as individuals in whatever their passions may be as learners, athletes, or artists. Inspired by the story of founder, Lindsey Vonn, LVF seeks to help girls gain confidence, build inclusivity, and discover their grit within.

The gala will raise funding for its #STRONGgirls Camps in support of girls in their mental and physical health journey. Since the development of the Camps in 2015, the Foundation has provided programming and education to nearly 1,500 girls across the country. With Vonn’s story closely integrated into the curriculum, girls are taught to find their own voices and realize their potential. The LVF curriculum is designed to reach every and all abilities and levels. Each camp is carefully curated to demographic, geographic, and socioeconomic factors in that location, as well as to each individual campers’ needs.

Since 2015, the Foundation has provided programming and education to nearly 1,500 girls across the country.

LVF also provides sports and enrichment scholarships for children to pursue goals in any area of interest from sports to STEM. A scholarship from LVF is a financial aid option, extending access to academics, athletics, and enrichment activities for underserved youth. Between 2018 and 2021, 325 total scholarships were awarded, totaling over $918,039 in financial aid provided, increasing access to both sports, personal enrichment, and STEM opportunities. In winter 2023, the Lindsey Vonn Foundation will exceed $1 million provided in scholarships to students across the nation.

Following the success of the Lindsey Vonn Foundation’s annual decade-themed fundraisers in Vail, Colorado, LVF is bringing “2020, too” to Park City. The Foundation encourages attendees to dress in their best Fellas & Flappers costumes for a night of live music with the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, DJ Nate Nelson, and special guests. LVF’s goal is to raise $250,000 with an online silent auction, live auction during the event, and a paddle raise.

“I’m excited for the transition to Park City with my Foundation’s fundraiser,” Vonn said. “I already have great friends here, but I’m hoping I can be a bigger part of the community. I hope everyone will enjoy a fun night with costumes and cocktails to raise much-needed funds for our scholarships and camps. The first camp since COVID will be in Denver and we’re partnering with the Colorado Children’s Hospital to reach both patients and siblings of patients and nurses. The following stop on our #STRONGgirls Camp schedule will have to be Park City! We are very excited for what’s to come.”

Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite or by going to www.LindseyVonnFoundation.org. Tickets are on sale at a “presale” price of $350 (single admission) and $650 (couple admission) ending April 15, 2022.
