Alpine-X announces plans to build indoor ski resorts in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — Alpine-X, a developer of indoor snow-sports resorts specializing in all-season entertainment venues, announced yesterday they are planning to construct two indoor ski facilities in Texas as part of an expansion project.

“We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of snow-sports, regardless of location or weather. That’s why we’re excited to announce that we have signed a letter of intent with a dynamic partner to co-develop Alpine-X branded resorts in… TEXAS! Get ready to ski in a ten-gallon hat because we’re bringing snow year-round to the Lone Star State,” Alpine-X announced in a statement.

Alpine-X plans to develop two resorts in the Lone-Star state, with intentions to build in Austin and Dallas by 2025. Both resorts will feature a sizable indoor snow area for skiing and snowboarding, a hotel, several food and beverage choices, an indoor adventure area, and multiple other amenities and facilities.

“This is part of our growth strategy that targets major North American metropolitan areas,” Alpine-X CEO John Emery said. “We are aiming to establish a footprint of Alpine-X branded resorts, and the dynamic Texas market is a perfect spot for our properties. We’re excited to join forces with this group in Texas, who are passionate and experienced in the development, delivery, and operation of indoor entertainment venues.”

While the full details have not yet been released, the company plans on partnering with a developer to form a joint venture, select sites, and raise funding. Alpine-X intends to finalize its proposed Texas sites and announce them within the next few months.
