Vail Resorts: masks required on gondolas starting Dec. 29

PARK CITY, Utah — Vail Resorts said starting on Wednesday, Dec. 29, guests and employees will be required to wear masks on gondolas at all of the company’s North American resorts.

Vail said the move is “due to the recent spike of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.”

Vail Resorts owns Park City Mountain.

A video from the mountain on Tuesday showed heavy crowds.

Summit County’s COVID-19 cases reached record highs on three different days over the Christmas holiday.
