Jeremy Ranch ranked #35 elementary school in Utah
PARK CITY, Utah — U.S. News & World Report introduced its first-ever rankings of K-8 schools this year.
Below are the rankings for elementary schools in the Park City School District (PCSD):
- Jeremy Ranch: #1 in PCSD, #35 in Utah.
- McPolin: #2 in PCSD, #89 in Utah.
- Parleys Park: #3 in PCSD, #104 in Utah.
- Trailside: #4 in PCSD, #298 in Utah.
“We are fortunate to have remarkable community support and engagement,” said Dr. Jill Gildea, Park City School District superintendent. “Our staff at Jeremy Ranch is proud to have earned such a top honor. The faculty and students at Jeremy Ranch Elementary School are truly extraordinary. They regularly go the extra mile to ensure students are flourishing inside and outside of the classroom.”
The rankings are based heavily on math and reading proficiency results from the 2018-19 school year, so it does not reflect the pandemic’s impact on learning. In addition, U.S. News considered overall proficiency levels and how well students achieved compared to expectations acknowledging students’ demographic and socioeconomic status.
All U.S. News & World Report rankings data are provided by third-party sources, including the U.S. Department of Education. More than 650 elementary schools were analyzed in Utah using the specific criteria.
Unlike the rankings of high schools, however, U.S. News did not put out national rankings of the elementary and middle school institutions.
