Panel to discuss Parley’s Canyon Fire on September 30

PARK CITY, Utah — On Thursday, September 30, a Parley’s Canyon Fire community panel will be held at the Jim Santy Auditorium in the Park City Library.

First responders and officials from Park City and Summit County will be there to discuss lessons learned and community preparedness.

There will be a public question-and-answer session after the discussion.

The Parley’s Canyon Fire forced the evacuation of over 6,000 homes and delayed the start of the school year in Park City.

In total, the fire reached a size of 541 acres.
