Hot air balloon festival Autumn Aloft returns on September 18
PARK CITY, Utah — After being canceled last year due to the pandemic, the Autumn Aloft Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to Park City on the weekend of September 18.
The festival features 18 hot air balloons, taking flight from Park City’s North 40 Fields (2530 Kearns Blvd.).
There will be a candlestick event on the night of Sep. 18 on Main Street (between 4th & 5th streets).
All events are free to spectators.
“Residents and visitors of the Wasatch Front and Back look forward to Park City’s Autumn Aloft each year,” said Autumn Aloft organizer Meisha Ross. “The event celebrates the beauty of autumn in Park City while, in today’s COVID-19 environment, offers an outdoor gathering with ample space for attendees to convene.”

Saturday, September 18
Main Launch
Autumn Aloft’s Main Launch takes flight at approximately 8:00 a.m. The Main Launch takes place at the North 40 Fields located at 2530 Kearns Blvd, Park City, UT 84060
Candlestick on Main
The Candlestick event includes eight balloon baskets. Balloon Pilots treat spectators to visual display with their balloon burners set to music from DJ Hitman. The event begins at 8:00 p.m. on Park City’s Historic Main Street.
Sunday, September 19
Main Launch
Autumn Aloft’s final launch returns to the North 40 Fields at 2530 Kearns Blvd. The mass ascension begins at approximately 8:00 a.m.
Autumn Aloft event organizers continue to monitor COVID-19. All Autumn Aloft events are held outdoors with ample space for social distancing. Autumn Aloft encourages all attendees, volunteers, pilots, and staff to wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible.
