The Parley’s Canyon Fire is 41% contained

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah  — In updated information on Tuesday night, Utah Fire Info reported the Parley’s Canyon Fire to be 41 percent contained at a size of 541 acres.

There are 278 total personnel currently fighting the blaze.

“Fuels continue to burn out,” the report said. “Heavier fuels in the southeast part of the fire continue to burn with a moderate potential to spread.”

Crews are continuing to direct perimeter control to minimize any growth.

On Tuesday evening, the Summit County Sheriff announced that all residents of Summit Park, Timberline, and Pinebrook may return home at 8 pm.

“Weather has worked in our favor,” the Sheriff’s post said.
