Miners football lose second game in as many weeks
LOGAN, Utah. — The Park City High School Miners varsity high school football team traveled to North Logan, Utah in Cache County on Friday to take on Green Canyon High’s Wolves in their second game of the season. The final score was 19 – 17 Green Canyon as the Miners went home at the end of the night with their second loss in their second game.
In the first quarter, Green Mountain’s Naegle kicked a 31-yard field goal ending with them in the lead as the only points of the quarter.
The second quarter found Green Canyon’s Stephens throwing a successful touchdown pass to Egan of 83 yards.
Then Park City’s carson Tabaracci ran in a six-yard touchdown before teammate Stephen Shagen kicked a 35-yard field goal with six seconds left on the clock to finish out the half up 10 – 9 over Green Mountain.
The third had Green Canyon’s Stephens with a two-yard touchdown run and teammate Naegle kicked another field goal in, this time from 23 yards.
Tabaracci ended the game scoring once more in the fourth quarter in a 15 yard run for a Park City touchdown.
Next Friday will have the Miner’s on the road again against Pine View in St. George before their next home game on the following Friday.
