“An Evening with Stephanie Land” rescheduled for April 2022
PARK CITY, Utah — Due to the Parley’s Canyon Fire, the Park City Institute postponed “An Evening with Stephanie Land” last weekend.
The event has now been moved to Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Land is a New York Times Bestselling Author. Her debut memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive is a story about the barriers to escape poverty. Her work portrays the physical, economic, and social brutality that lower class American workers face.
“This will be the 4th time the Institute has scheduled Stephanie, however her story or hardship, poverty, and abuse is an important one to hear and well worth the wait,” said Ari Ioannides, Executive Director of the Park City Institute. “Tickets purchased for any of her previous shows will be honored for the April 2, 2022 date.”
You can find tickets here.
Her book is also being turned into a 10-episode Netflix series, where Land will be portrayed by Margaret Qualley. The series is expected to be released in October.
“Stephanie tells the searing and remarkably human story of a young woman battling to find a secure future for herself and her infant daughter, Mia, in the face of overwhelming odds and governmental assistance programs of impossible complexity,” said executive producer John Wells.
