PARK CITY, Utah. — Westbound I-80 will be reduced to one lane between the U.S. 40/Silver Creek interchange and Kimball Junction from Friday, July 16, at 9 pm to Monday, July 19, at 5 am, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) said in a statement.
During this time, crews will perform maintenance work on the bridges over the Highland Drive/Bitner Road connection east of Kimball Junction. Drivers with time-sensitive travel should plan ahead for delays and adjust their trips accordingly.
This bridge maintenance is being completed as part of a larger planned project taking place this summer. UDOT will repave I-80 from just west of Kimball Junction to the U.S. 40/Silver Creek Junction, along with the Silver Creek/I-80 ramps at the Silver Summit interchange. This project will provide a smoother driving surface and extend the life of the pavement.
