Park City primary election is just around the corner
PARK CITY, Utah — On November 2nd, Park City will elect a new mayor and two city council members. Since there are more than twice the number of candidates filed than are to be elected- there will be a primary election on August 10.
In order to vote in the primary election, Park City residents must register to vote by 5 pm on July 30th. If you do not register in time, you can go to City Offices on Election Day to register and vote.
Candidates for the four-year mayoral term:
- Nann Worel
- Andy Beerman
- David A. Dobkin
Candidates for the four-year council member term:
- Thomas C. Purcell
- Jamison Brandi
- Jeremy Rubell
- Michael J. Franchek
- Tim B. Henney
- John Greenfield
- Daniel Lewis
- Tana Toly
Both elections will be done entirely by mail. According to City Hall, ballots will be mailed on or July 20th for the primary and October 12th for the general election. There will be drop boxes at the Marsac Building and the Market in Snow Creek Plaza. Ballots can be deposited at either location before or on Election Day.
The deadline to register to vote for the November election is October 22nd. If you are planning on mailing your ballot, make sure it is postmarked prior to August 9 for the primary and November 1 for the general.
On Election Day, there will be a Voter Information Center at the City Offices from 7 am – 8 pm – where you can register to vote.
