OGDEN, Utah. — At the Professional Disc Golfers Association World Championships on Sunday, one flick of the wrist lit up the worldwide crowd. James Conrad made a monster-long 247 foot throw for a birdie at the 18th hole forcing a playoff.
Conrad, whose from Virginia, wasn’t even initially on the roster for this event but was subbed in after a teammate got injured. He came away from the playoffs victorious claiming not just the $16,500 tournament prize but also the viral video vibe of the sport’s history (full coverage and video).
The tour stops in Nevada, Texas, Arkansas, California, Oregon, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Norway.
In Park City, disc golfers of all skill levels can play year-round on the free, nine-hole Trailside Park course.
