New Mountain Town Coalition with the Christian Center of Park City

PARK CITY, Utah. — Rob Harter, the Executive Director of the Christian Center of Park City is helping to launch a new passion project this month with the best of intentions. He’s collaborating to put together a coalition of like-minded humanitarian organizations within mountain towns across North America through which they can share best practices, provide educational resources, mutual encouragement, and professional support.

These organizations are specifically ones that have a food pantry or deal directly with food insecurity, have some type of basic needs assistance (like rent assistance), and a holistic, wraparound approach to their work which may or may not include mental health services.

“I am a big believer in the power of collaboration and mutual support,” Harter said in a statement.

Harter is gathering with counterparts as an initial kick-off to build community and connections. Between 30 and 40 leaders representing nonprofits from Vermont to Whistler, Sun Valley and Jackson Hole, Breckenridge and Tahoe, just to name a few, are on the list.

Harter, also, hosts the Nonprofit Leadership Podcast: Real stories from real leaders making a difference today. Check out the latest episodes
