Family of 20 Removed from Airplane in Salt Lake
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. — According to an exclusive report from KSL TV, American Airlines decided Sunday to remove a Utah family of 20 from a flight traveling from Salt Lake City to Dallas en route to Hawaii due to non-compliance with the airline’s mask policy.
Scott Wilson, a member of the family, was interviewed by KSL (video below) and admitted to his mask falling below his nose once, but said he adjusted it when requested to do so by an airline employee. Wilson said his family was complying with the mask policy, and other passengers and gate agents agreed. KSL reported that after Wilson was interviewed by the airline about the situation, the family was rebooked on another American Airlines flight and eventually arrived in Hawaii.
