Outdoor Dining Options in Park City
One of the newest trends to hit Park City’s restaurant scene is alternative outdoor dining options.
The Alpenglobe, which is designed in Utah, seats up to eight people and is built to withstand seasonal elements, like snow and cold, while adding an unforgettable experience to dining out. So, apres for the afternoon, enjoy a formal dinner, or celebrate a special occasion with your entire family, at any of these local restaurants that have taken the concept of “dining out” to a whole new level.
Enjoy 360-degree, panoramic views of the outdoors, from your very own alpenglobe at Stein Eriksen Lodge. This new deck dining experience comes with a $200 reservation fee for 90 minutes of dining. Reservations are available only for lodging guests at this time, but if available on a first-come-first-serve for non-lodging guests. Call (435) 645-6455 to make a reservation.
Adjustable heating, Bluetooth music via Sonos wireless speakers, and dimmable chandeliers, as well as views of the mountains and Town Lift Plaza, are the perfect way to enjoy a meal at Butcher’s Chop House and Bar in historic old town Park City. Alpenglobes are available on the outdoor patio, by reservation only. Lunch and apres reservations are available through February. Time slots for a 90 minute dining experience include 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 3:15 p.m. To ensure a private and uninterrupted dining experience, each alpenglobe is equipped with a server push-button call bell. Visit Resy.com to book your alpenglobe today!
Part stargazing observatory, part gondola carriage, and part secluded conclave, for an intimate warm winter outdoor dining experience, there is the rooftop terrace of Culinary Crafts to indulge in a private bubble dining experience. Located at the corner of Heber Ave. and Main Street, enjoy a three-course prix fixe family-style meal, with a unique chef’s choice seasonal menu. Get your tickets here.
Looking for a snowy afternoon view or a meal under the stars, Wasatch Sugar House and Wasatch Park City are now offering outdoor igloos. By reservation only, each igloo offers ultimate comfort with heaters, air purifiers, and a brightly lit atmosphere for a nice dinner with the whole family. Email party@wasatchbeers.com or call (801) 328-2329 ext. 1238 to make a reservation. It is recommended to bring your own blankets or purchase a Wasatch branded blanket as a souvenir.
Also offering comfort, warmth and extraordinary dining space is the Silver Star Cafe, with a new yurt open and ready for dining. The traditional round tent structure is made with a latticework of wood or bamboo for walls, and a door frame. The yurt, equipped with well-spaced tables, plenty of ventilation, heat, and all of the wonderful food, and service, is just another unique method of dining out this season.
And don’t forget the ski-in, ski-out seafood, and raw bar at RIME. Perched at the top of the Jordenelle ski run and the Mountaineer Express Lift at Deer Valley Resort, the ski-in, walk-in eatery has plenty of outdoor deck seating available, and serves fresh seafood including lobster rolls, chowder, oysters, beer and wine. Open daily 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a $2.50 oyster happy hour from 2-3 p.m. No reservations needed.
For more outdoor dining options including tents, yurts, and additional patio seating, visit Twisted Fern, Boneyard Saloon, and Versante Hearth + Bar. And alpenglobes are arriving daily around Park City at The Nelson Cottage by High West, Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Resort, and more!
