Back in 2002, at a local ski shop in Steamboat Springs, CO., Joe Sternberg and I watched as families waited in long lines after long travel days to rent skis… and we knew there had to be a better way. We started Black Tie out of our one car garage with a few hundred pair of skis and a vision to deliver a more convenient way for people to rent skis. Today, we have 18 locally owned and operated Black Tie branches servicing more than 46 world-class mountains. All of us are committed to providing a service that allows you to spend less time waiting in lines and more time on the slopes with family and friends, which is what vacation is all about.
